収録テイクとは異なる部分がある。
ジョンは本番の録音が始まってからも歌詞を推敲している。
【】内は収録テイクの歌詞
最も大きく異なるのはI need a fixの部分で第19テイクは2回繰り返しているが
収録テイクは最初の1回を全て歌っていない。
あと、最後のWell, don't you know that happiness is a warm gun, mamaが
収録テイクにはあるが第19テイクにはない。
マル・エヴァンズの手書きの歌詞と比べてみる。マル・エヴァンズの
手書きの歌詞ではこの変更点は全て修正後の歌詞になっている。
つまりマル・エヴァンズの歌詞は収録版と全く同じものだ。
第19テイクの後にマル・エヴァンズの歌詞は書かれたということになる。
もう歌詞の修正もなくなり完成した。変拍子もきっちりと決まった。
その時点でマル・エヴァンズが歌詞を手書きで清書したのだろう。
