ほとんどの聴き手を完全に困惑させてしまうと主張した。
このように最も前衛的なビートルが実験と冒険の邪魔をして

その言葉がポールのアドリブの歌詞を聞いてつい口に出たのだろう。
この曲がリリースされて翌月にジョンはトゥー・ヴァージンズを録音した。
ジョンが前衛作品を作るようになったきっかけはこの曲かもしれない。
この曲は前衛作品のトゥー・ヴァージンズに影響を与え
その後のRevolution 9にも影響を与えたのではないだろうか。

その後繰り返しAre you happyと話され印象の強いセリフとなっている。
この後、解散するまでポールはジョンに戻っておいでと呼びかけていく
ジョンはそのポールの呼びかけをおもしろがっている。
そのやりとりの原型がCan You Take Me Backの中にある。
この曲の録音時もうすでにジョンとポールはこのやりとりをしていた。
Hey JudeでもGet Backでもポールがよびかけてジョンが答える。
同じやりとりを二人は何度も何度もビートルズの曲の中で繰り返していく。
